Piper is a beautiful 2 year old, 60lb German Shepherd. She came to us as an owner surrender after her previous family could no longer care for her. It’s clear she loved her people very much. Those first few days were hard for her as she tried to understand why she was somewhere new. She kept going to the front door hoping to go home and it broke her foster family’s hearts watching her confusion. 💔

With time, patience, and lots of love, Piper has started to settle in and show her gentle, affectionate personality. She’s a little shy and submissive at first but incredibly sweet once she warms up. She loves giving kisses, has been quick to trust, and adjusted right away to her crate which has already become her safe space. 🥰

We’ve also learned she’s a very smart girl who knows sit, down, and stay. She enjoys training time and loves to please. She will make a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates the loyal and intelligent nature that german shepherds are known for. ❤️

She does amazing with other playful dogs as long as they can tolerate her endless energy. She is very curious with cats and has shown too much curiosity so far. Piper is potty and crate trained. She will need at least a 6 foot privacy fence in her bed home and indoor living is her style.

Piper is spayed, current on preventions and vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped.

If you’re looking for a resilient queen with a heart of gold and Olympic-level couch potato skills… allow us to introduce Stacy Dash. 💁‍♀️🐾 We are obsessed with how petite and cute she is. 

Stacy is an approximately 2 year old, 40 lb red Chow Chow who has already been through more than most dogs experience in a lifetime. She was found after being hit by a car and suffered a luxated pelvis and multiple injuries — but don’t let that scare you. Stacy has healed beautifully and never let it dim her sweet, gentle spirit.

Because of her past injuries, Stacy may have lifelong orthopedic limitations which means she won’t be your marathon runner — and she’s totally okay with that. She has fully embraced her destiny as a professional couch potato, and frankly… she’s excellent at it. 🛋️✨

Stacy would do best in a calm home where she can relax, be loved, and enjoy the good life she absolutely deserves. Stacy can be shy at first but does great after the new people offer her snacks.

Fireplace Fifi is a 3-year-old, 43lb Chow Chow who found herself in rescue after her previous owner could no longer care for her. Change isn’t exactly her love language so she’s looking for someone who understands that trust is earned—not rushed. And she wants to make sure her next home is seriously her forever family. 

Fifi will need at least 2 weeks (or more) to decompress in her new home. That means giving her space, patience, and letting her come to you on her timeline.

She would do best with someone who is experienced with Chows or dogs who have been unfairly labeled as “difficult.” (We prefer the term misunderstood, thank you.)

Once Fifi settles in, you’ll start to see her sweet side shine. She is potty trained, walks well on a leash, and does prefer time in her crate until she gets used to being one of the family. She loves her dog friends and honestly, those are what makes her happy. She also loves her stuffed babies. 

Fifi isn’t going to be your instant Velcro dog—but if you give her the time she needs, she will absolutely form a deep, loyal bond with her person. The kind of bond that Chow people completely understand and admire.

Peggy is a 1 year old, 45lb German Shepherd/Chow mix with a heart as big as her ears (and possibly bigger than your personal space… but in a cute way).

This sweet girl has never met a stranger—seriously…if you have hands, she assumes they are there to pet her. Peggy lives for her people and will happily stick by your side like your slightly furry, very loyal assistant. Cooking? She’s supervising. Watching TV? She’s glued to you. Bathroom trip? Oh bestie, she’s coming too.

She also gets along great with other dogs and would love a home with a canine buddy—or just humans who are ready for full-time companionship.

Meet Baked Bean Felicity.

Baked Bean Felicity (formerly known as Lucy Lue) is scheduled for surgery next week on her entropion. After healing from that, she will be ready for her new home. BBF is a very sweet 8 month old, 32lb Chow Chow girl. She is the life of the party and loves to hang out with all of her animal friends. 

BBF would do best in a home that understands Chow Chows, has another Chow for her to play with, and has a fence. This sweet young girl doesn’t do good on leash so she will need training with that. Grooming for Chows with fur like hers is essential - her adopter will need to understand that a grooming every 4-6 weeks is ideal for her coat. 

BBF is spayed, current on vaccines and preventions, heartworm negative, and microchipped. 

Out of state adoptions will be considered for approved applications.

Meet King Rotisserie.

King Rotisserie is a very good boy who loves all the animals he meets. King prefers women but does adjust to men with time. He is a 1.5 year old, 55lb Chow Chow with a lot of love to give. He is great on leash and completely potty trained.

King does prefer dog friends who like to play. He also loves spending time with his dog friends and people friends as much as possible.

King is current on vaccines and preventions, heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped. If you are looking for the whole package, King is your guy.
